Preppify Terms of Service
Version: 1.1 Effective date: 2026-10-16
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Preppify mobile application, the Preppify web console for teachers and schools, and related services (the "Service"), operated by NST EdTech, a sole proprietorship based in Erode, Tamil Nadu, India ("Preppify", "we", "us"). By accepting these Terms when you create your account, or by using the Service, you agree to these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Children's Privacy Notice. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use Preppify
- You must be an adult — at least 18 years old or the age of majority where you live — to create an account and be an account holder.
- Children use the Service under a parent's or guardian's account, as described in the Children's Privacy Notice. The account holder is responsible for their family's use of the Service, including use by children in their family.
- A student may hold their own linked sign-in only through the parent-controlled flows in the app. A student under 18 may sign in only to ask a parent or guardian for approval, or after a parent or guardian has approved and linked their sign-in; until then, they cannot use the Service.
- A student may hold an independent account only if they are 18 or older.
- Teachers and school administrators are responsible for using the Service in accordance with these Terms and with their obligations to the students and families they serve (see Section 8).
You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
2. The Service
Preppify lets parents, teachers, and schools create curriculum-aligned assessments — including AI-generated questions — that children complete, and provides learning analytics based on the results. Features vary by plan and by role. We may add, change, or remove features as the Service evolves; where a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will provide notice.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of these Terms;
- attempt to access another family's, classroom's, or school's data;
- abuse AI-powered features — including attempting to generate content unrelated to education, probing or manipulating the underlying models, or automating requests;
- circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, credit accounting, plan limits, suspensions, or other technical or billing controls;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Service, or attempt to reverse engineer it except where the law permits;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties outside the account structures the Service provides (family, classroom, school);
- misuse competition features, including cheating in academic challenges;
- submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
We may suspend or restrict accounts that violate this section, including suspending access to AI features for abuse, and, for serious or repeated violations, terminate accounts (Section 10).
4. Assessments and AI-generated content
- Assessment questions, explanations, and recommendations may be generated with artificial intelligence. AI-generated content can contain errors. We apply automated quality checks, and we provide in-app tools to report problematic questions, but we do not guarantee that any question, answer, explanation, or recommendation is accurate or suitable for a particular child.
- The Service is a learning aid. It does not provide professional educational, psychological, or medical advice, and results in the Service are not formal academic evaluations, grades, or credentials.
- Parents and teachers are responsible for reviewing and selecting the assessments children take and for how results are used.
5. Plans, subscriptions, and credits
- Parts of the Service require a subscription plan or credits. Credits are consumed when you use credit-based features, such as generating assessment questions and AI explanations, as indicated in the app.
- Subscriptions and credit purchases are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Subscription plans renew and are cancelled through your app-store account settings; uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Your use of the app and any store-billed purchase is also subject to the terms of the store you obtained it from — including, for the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where those store terms are required to govern a store-billed purchase, they apply to that purchase to the extent required.
- Credits granted by plans, passes, or purchases may expire; the applicable validity is shown in the app at the time of grant or purchase. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable outside your account's billing pool (family or school), and are not redeemable for money except where required by law.
- Prices, plans, included credits, and feature entitlements may change; changes apply from your next billing cycle or purchase, not retroactively.
6. Refunds
- Because all purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, refunds are requested from and decided by Apple or Google under their refund policies. Preppify cannot issue card refunds directly.
- When a store grants a refund, we may adjust your credits or plan benefits to reflect it.
- Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable statutory refund rights you have in your country.
- For billing questions, contact info@nstedtech.com.
7. Your content and intellectual property
- The Service, including its software, design, curriculum structures, and question bank, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. The Preppify and NST EdTech names, logos, and marks are our trademarks; you may not use them without our prior written permission.
- You retain rights in the content you submit (for example, custom topics). You grant us a license to use submitted content to operate and improve the Service, including generating and reusing curriculum-aligned questions.
- AI-generated questions and explanations are part of the Service. You may use assessment content for your family's or classroom's personal, non-commercial educational purposes, including printing or sharing assessment PDFs where the app provides those features.
- You are responsible for the content you submit and for your use of the Service. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold NST EdTech harmless from third-party claims arising out of content you submit, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the Service. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Reporting infringement. If you believe content in the Service infringes your intellectual-property rights, contact us at info@nstedtech.com with enough detail to identify the content and the rights you hold. We will review valid notices and remove or disable access to content we determine to be infringing, and we may terminate the accounts of those who repeatedly infringe (Section 10).
8. Teachers, classrooms, and schools
If you use Preppify as a teacher or school administrator:
- you confirm you are authorized to run classrooms for the students you enroll, and that enrollments are approved on the family's side through the flows the Service provides;
- you must use student information available to you in the Service (names, results, analytics) only for legitimate educational purposes, and handle it in accordance with applicable law and your school's obligations to families;
- school administrators are responsible for managing teacher membership of their school and for oversight of classrooms operated under it;
- classroom rankings shown to families anonymize other children; you must not defeat that anonymization (for example, by publishing named rankings to families).
9. Academic challenges
Cross-family academic challenges are optional competitions with defined enrollment windows, schedules, and rules shown in the app. Scoring is performed centrally by the Service. Cheating — including attempting multiple simultaneous attempts, using unauthorized assistance, or manipulating the app — may result in disqualification and account action under Section 3.
10. Suspension and termination
- By you. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Deletion works as described in the Privacy Policy's deletion section — including the 7-day grace period for family accounts and immediate permanent deletion for individual accounts.
- By us. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, for abuse of the Service, where required by law, or if we discontinue the Service (in which case we will give reasonable notice). Where fair, we will warn you and give you a chance to remedy the issue first.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 13) survive.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of content (including AI-generated content), and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Your use of the Service is at your own discretion. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under the law of your country.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service; and our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose (which may be zero if you have not paid for the Service). These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Erode, Tamil Nadu, India, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that entitle you to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will provide notice in the app or by other reasonable means, with the new version and its effective date published at this address. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
